About Casal da Penha
The restaurant has been in the same family for over thirty years, on a beco off the Rua Penha de França with resorts on every side of it. The Michelin guide gave it a Bib Gourmand, which is the award for honest cooking at a fair price rather than for a tasting menu, and that is exactly what comes out: fish of the day bought at the market, espetada grilled over wood, black scabbard with banana, rice dishes, and a paella if there are enough of you. The room downstairs is plain and well kept. The roof is a garden.
