About Peixaria da Avenida
A peixaria is a fishmonger, and the name is doing work: the fish is picked at the counter rather than chosen off a list, which is the traditional way of eating it here in a room that looks nothing like the traditional places. The avenue it sits on runs from the centre out towards the hotels, so it catches people walking in both directions and it is a short enough walk back afterwards to have had wine with it.
