About this home
Rua da Carreira is one of the oldest streets in Funchal and still one of the quietest in the middle of it: shuttered houses shoulder to shoulder, small shops at street level, and a slope steep enough that the noise of the centre never quite climbs it. Carreira Solar is in one of those houses, tall windows facing the cobbles, and the light that comes through them in the morning is the thing guests write about first.
