About O.Giro Churros & Paninis
The Rua da Carreira is the long street that runs west out of the centre, full of old shopfronts and not much of it aimed at visitors, and O.Giro is one of the places that fills up with people who work nearby. The churros are the reason it is known: fried to order rather than sitting under a lamp, and served with a dip. The rest of the board is sandwiches, the Black Angus steak one and the paninis, and bolo do caco if you want the Madeiran version. Portions are large and the bill is small.
