The Orquestra de Bandolins da Madeira, the island’s mandolin orchestra, plays a concert every Wednesday at 21:00. In November 2026 it moves between two of Funchal’s historic rooms: the Salão Nobre of the Legislative Assembly on 4 and 18 November, and the English Church on 11 and 25 November. Expect about 1 hour 15 minutes of the classics arranged for mandolin. Tickets are €30, and its conductor says most of the audience are visitors to the island.
