About Keep it Safe 24/7
The Travessa do Freitas shop is one of two Keep it Safe 24/7 rooms in Funchal, the other being Rua dos Barreiros 26B up in the Old Town. Each holds 30 lockers in three sizes and both work the same way: you choose the shop and the size on the company's website, pay, and your phone becomes the key to the street door and to the locker inside.
The smallest locker takes a cabin case and a backpack, the largest four cabin cases or one oversized suitcase, and all three are 85 cm deep. The room is for dropping and collecting only, so it is not somewhere to sit out a wet afternoon between a check-out and a night flight. The same company also runs a ride to and from the airport, an electric car for up to four people, with child seats if you ask for them.
