Rise & Dine
- No online booking
- Cards accepted
- Two minutes off Arriaga
Rise & Dine cooks brunch and nothing else: Turkish eggs, a Mexican breakfast, eggs Benedict, pancakes, and sourdough toasts under avocado or smoked salmon. It is a sit-down meal rather than a counter stop, and it is worth arriving hungry.
About Rise & Dine
Rise & Dine is at number 60 on Rua da Carreira, the long street that runs just inland of Avenida Arriaga. It is easy to walk past: the entrance is a plain doorway in a basalt surround, with the name in raised letters on the white wall beside it and nothing out on the pavement.
The menu is brunch from end to end. There are bowls, granola with Greek yoghurt and a chia bowl among them, open toasts on sourdough under avocado and mozzarella or smoked salmon, and the egg plates: Turkish eggs, eggs Benedict and a Mexican breakfast. Pancakes finish it. The kitchen leans Mediterranean with a few Portuguese and Mexican dishes, and a vegetarian has more than one thing to choose from.
